Hi! I’m Lauren Fitzmaurice, your lead planner here at WBB. I’ve been part of WBB since we launched in 2019. After helping get the bridal shop off the ground, I started assisting Lauren P with weddings and quickly realized this is my jam. With a background in both fashion and event production I’ve developed a unique eye for detail. I thrive on a well-crafted timeline, a beautiful tablescape, and the sheer electric energy that comes with every wedding day.
On your wedding day, you’ll probably find me neurotically double- and triple-checking your tablescape and politely reminding people, “It’s in the binder!” By the end of the night, I'll probably be asking if I can be adopted by your family. Above all, I live for the natural high that comes from creating wedding day magic and building meaningful connections with my couples, their families, and their guests.
If you asked about the environment I try to foster for each wedding, I'd say: I want my couples and their guests to show up and feel that every moment of the day is flowing effortlessly around them. They should never see or feel the moving parts. I am always striving for intentionality. And the moment at the end of the night when the joy is radiating from the dance floor, and your Aunt Judy tells me, ‘This was the best wedding she’s ever attended,’ that’s when I know I’ve done my job just right.
I’ve planned and executed 100+ weddings, and I can still recite every couple’s name, wedding date, and venue. Every wedding is unique, and every couple deserves a day that feels intentionally and perfectly them. I can’t wait to get the party started with you!
I had struggled for years to figure out what exactly I was supposed to be doing with my life. Anyone who knows me knows I love to plan things, I love love, and I love making other people smile. I thought hmm.. what about the wedding industry?! I started out assisting with a ton of different companies, doing all sorts of things in the wedding world from catering, to florals, and I found my fit with wedding planning.
I have never felt more excited and proud to be part of a world of such talented professionals who dedicate their lives to making other people's dream weddings come true. I have to say my favorite part of this job is getting to know my couples, and bringing unique aspects of what makes them special into their wedding day. It is such a wonderful, rewarding feeling to see the looks of complete and utter joy on their faces at the end of the evening
With six years in hospitality, I’ve found my true calling in wedding planning. I am most passionate about building genuine connections with my clients - getting to know them, their relationship dynamic, and what brings them joy as a couple. It’s a privilege to be part of such a personal journey and to witness them surrounded by love on their wedding day, simply being themselves with the people who know them best.
Having all your friends and family in the same room is incredibly rare - and it’s, truly, magical. Eat, drink, dance, and soak up every moment. I’ll handle the details, so you can focus on what matters - being fully present, celebrating your story while making memories you’ll never forget.
Hospitality runs in my blood. My parents, their parents, and even my siblings have all been in the industry. After nearly a decade in weddings, I’ve officially planted roots here, and good luck trying to pry me out! From running a wedding venue to leading a catering company and assisting incredible planners, I’ve seen this world from many angles and now I’m living my dream: planning weddings.
I love my first meeting with couples - getting to know each other, swapping stories, hearing how they met, what weddings have stuck with them, and dreaming up how to make their day feel authentic to them. Then fast-forward to the wedding itself, and that full-circle moment hits - by bringing all that “first call magic” to life. Cookie-cutter weddings are not my thing. There is no copy and pasting here - every wedding should feel like a mirror of who you are as a couple.
After dabbling in DIY wedding planning right after college, I fell in love with the creativity of it all — and the calm that comes from thriving in the chaos. My journey with Wild Blooms began in 2019, soon after buying my own wedding dress, when I was asked to assist and never looked back.
I adore the artistry of florals and the satisfaction of solving problems behind the scenes, always adding in a little bit of magic. I’m the resident quirky, hippie soul — always with lavender spray in my bag and a knack for wrangling toddlers (or Uncle Mark at cocktail hour).
Because you don’t know what you don’t know.
Think about it: you wouldn’t buy a house without a real estate agent or fix your car without a mechanic (unless you’re into stress and very expensive mistakes). Wedding planning is the same. It's layered, emotional, full of logistics, and definitely not just picking flowers and tasting cake.
We’ve spent years building vendor relationships, making timelines that actually work, and solving problems you didn’t even know were problems yet. We know what can go wrong, how to keep it right, and how to make sure you don’t feel a single ripple when your DJ’s van gets a flat tire two hours before the ceremony.
Without a planner, decision fatigue hits hard and sticker shock is real. And before you know it, you’re ugly-crying over napkin folds. With us? You stay grounded, guided, and focused on the fun parts—like menu selections and your dance moves.
Real talk: no one ever says “I regret hiring a planner.”
They do say “I wish I hired one sooner.”
The simplest answer? Because we freakin’ love what we do.
We get an actual high from creating magic for our couples and their guests. Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do, and making sure you feel seen, supported, and celebrated is what we’re here for. No two weddings or couples are ever the same, and that’s never lost on us.
We pride ourselves on the relationships we build, not just with our couples, but with your families, your friends, and everyone who shows up to love on you. Being part of your wedding journey is an honor, and we don’t take that lightly.
We want you to look back in 20 years and remember how present and immersed you felt on your wedding day, because you trusted us to take care of the heavy stuff. You soaked it all in. You danced, you cried, you ate the cake. (Yes, we made sure of that.) Also… not to brag, but we’ve been named Best Wedding Planner in the Hudson Valley three years running. Just sayin’.
Ah, the question of the century.
Venue coordinators are awesome—and crucial—but their job is to take care of the venue: the space, the staff, the food, and everything that falls under their roof. We adore them and truly couldn’t do what we do without their collaboration!
But here's the key difference: while they manage the venue, we manage you. Your vision, your timeline, your people, your peace of mind—that’s our lane. Venue managers might help craft a basic reception timeline and greet vendors at the door, but they’re not texting your makeup artist the night before, pinning boutonnières, managing your first look, or grabbing you a glass of champagne when you need a sec to breathe. We’re the ones with the emergency kit, the clipboard, the backup plan—and yes, the escape route when Aunt Maureen’s been talking your ear off during cocktail hour for far too long.
We’re in it with you from the jump, making sure every moment of your day—from the first mimosa to the last dance—feels smooth, special, and completely you
Not exactly—but we do find that we can do our best work when there’s a healthy budget behind the vision. Most of our couples are spending somewhere between $85,000–$175,000+, which gives us the room to build an incredible vendor team, bring thoughtful design ideas to life, and create the kind of seamless, elevated experience we’ve become known for. That said, budget isn’t the only factor. If you’re flexible, open to creative solutions, and our vibe feels like the right fit—we’re always down for a conversation!
We really do it all—but you don’t have to.
Yes, we offer planning, florals, and a bridal boutique, but there’s zero pressure to bundle. If you’re hiring us for planning but already have a florist in mind, no hard feelings—we’ll even pass along some of our favorite floral designers in the Hudson Valley!
That said, working with us across multiple services? It’s a whole vibe. Streamlined communication, one shared vision, and a team that already speaks your wedding language. Plus, we offer a little discount when you keep it in the fam. Just ask us about it when you inquire.
The Hudson Valley and Catskills are our home, but we happily plan weddings all across New York and New England. If your dream celebration involves hopping on a plane? Say less. Whether it’s a Vermont mountaintop, a Napa vineyard, or the Maldives (yes please), we’re in.
